Girls, girls, girls

Well I really have left it a while this time. Between selling up at old Alexandra st, settling on the new land, getting the rental organised and moving into it, March and April were nuts. Occasionally stressful as we wondered if the house would sell for what we wanted, or close to it. In the end, we were there or thereabouts. Not after a few little 'discussions' with our agents. I should know what they're like at this stage, though Commercial real estate seems to be just a tad less full of crap than residential. It's all relative mind you.

So, for the next year (or less hopefully at this stage) we'll be living at 2/54 Terrace St, Toowong, QLD 4066. Not too far from where we were or where we're going. But definitely smaller. Takes some getting used to but it will all be worth it.... eventually.

On that note, our architect has been working away (when not working/golfing/looking after our kids) on our designs and so far the floor plans are done, and the elevations started. Still dont expect a shovel in the ground until August. For those curious, it will be a modern design, and we'll put some pics up when we get the final designs.

The kids have settled relatively well into the new abode. Aibhe moreso, as Emma is going through the 2 year old wake and yell at night cycle which we're working through at the moment. She can still certainly let rip. Just had her 2nd birthday which passed off nicely. Aibhe's kindy fair was on the birthday itself, Alissa was on duty taking money for the rides, and as Treasurer, I spent the afternoon counting up the cash. Over a beer or two of course.

Works been ridiculously nuts. Say no more.
